Project Description
Yamal LNG is a plant with a capacity of 17.4 mmt per annum of LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas). The Yamal LNG project is based on the feedstock resources of the Yuzhno-Tambeyskoye gas field located in the northeast of the Yamal Peninsula on the coast of the Ob Bay.

The first train launched on December 5, 2017, and the first LNG shipment took place on December 8. In August 2018, the Yamal LNG plant performed the first LNG shipment from the second production line. Yamal LNG commenced third LNG production line in November 2018.

NIPIGAS acts as the General Design Contractor of the Yamal LNG fourth production line. Earlier, NIPIGAS developed the design documentation based on FEED and supported in obtaining approvals from the State Expert Review Board.

The Yamal LNG fourth train applies innovative liquefaction technology “Arctic cascade” which is the key Russian process equipment.
